Playwright¡¯s Workshop

7 to 10 PM Mondays July 16, 30, Aug 13, 27 Sept 10, 24. 

• Writers...

• Email  jims@sfsalvo.com to let us know you're coming.  

• Bring a copy of your scene for each actor and director.

• Introduce yourself to Jim Strope and pay $10.  

• Introduce yourself to the actors.  If you can, cast your scenes before your time begins.   You may cast yourself in the scene.  

• Introduce yourself to the other writers and offer to read other writers' scenes.  

• When your time begins, finish casting and say something short and cunning about your objectives for the evening.  

• Read the stage directions while the actors read the play.  

• Take notes.  

• There can be a lot going on for you.  You may give many of these tasks to auspicious and modest moderator.  

• Q&A.  

• Repeat 2 times.  

• Stick around and comment on other works.  

Scenes can be any length.  We will split the 3 hours more or less equally between the writers.
